About the watch
In Rolex's long and rich history, few models can lay claim to such renown as the Datejust. Born in 1945, the model has seen many variations and combinations of cases, bracelets and dials.
Reference 16014 saw the introduction of the quick date setting, which adds simplicity of use without compromising the vintage look of the piece. This particular piece, with its silver dial, fluted white gold bezel and jubilee bracelet, remains probably the best-known and most sought-after version, thanks in no small part to its versatility. The fascinating dial varies from metallic silver to a slight champagne colour depending on the light, giving it a lively, dynamic appearance on the wrist. The indexes and hands are in tritium, the latter having gained an appealing beige patina, which makes the piece all the more beautiful. The overall condition of the watch is great, with plenty of material left on the case and sharp corners. It should be noted that the clasp has been replaced during servicing. This is the only part that is not original. It is the perfect starting point for a collection and a must-have for any serious watch enthusiast.
Case & bracelet
The case has a lot of material and sharp edges.
The buckle and bracelet are in great condition too. The bracelet is the original one, reference 62510H, and has no stretch. The buckle has been changed during a service.
Accessories & extras
The watch is sold alone, without box or papers. We provide a Veritas travelling pouch.
Movement information
The movement is the original caliber 3035, which runs well.
In-person viewing
Our watches are available for in-person viewing in Lausanne by appointment only. While we occasionally travel to meet clients in Geneva, Zurich, or Bern, Lausanne remains the most convenient meeting point. Unfortunately, viewings outside of Switzerland are not feasible.
