Designed by the legendary Gerald Genta, the Royal Oak is probably one of the three most influential watches in watchmaking history. Calling it a revolutionary, game-changing product is no exaggeration. The Royal Oak has seen plenty of references and configurations, but this rose gold and smoky grey dial has been one of their most popular and demanded recent release. In 2022, AP celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Royal Oak in style, introducing the new reference 16202, replacing the 15202 which stayed in production for 22 years. This new reference features the in-house caliber 7121 with a 52-hour power reserve. All watches produced during this anniversary year feature a special 50th-anniversary rotor, adding a unique touch to each piece. The reference 16202OR comes with a rose gold case and bracelet, featuring a smoked grey dial with a “Petite Tapisserie” pattern, pink gold-applied hour markers, and Royal Oak hands with luminescent coating. This specific watch is in unworn condition, adding to its rarity. It comes as a full set, originally sold in April 2022.
